I have been involved in basketball for 20 years now and I have found that holiday basketball camps are a great way to see big improvements in skill and confidence in a short period of time.

When I was 16 years old (unfortunately a long time ago now) I attended a Nike Basketball Camp back in Germany for a full week. We had 3 trainings per day, plus games at night time so the camp was pretty full on. After I got back from the camp I noticed three dramatic improvements in my own performance:my defense was a lot better, my left-hand lay-up was spot on and most importantly my confidence was much improved. The great thing was that as soon as I came back home all I wanted to do was play more and train more!

How to improve confidence
You see confidence is gained through achieving success in a practice environment. For example the more shots you make in practice the more confidently you will shoot the ball in games.
Players like Stephen Curry make it look easy in games, but that incredible confidence is gained through lots of practice.
At our holiday basketball camps, you get to train several hours per day for several days in a row combined with high-quality positive coaching. And repetition over time always leads to improved results and confidence!
For me as a coach, there is no better feeling than seeing a player in a game situation shooting the ball confidently and swishing the shot.
Most kids today DO NOT train enough
The problem is that a lot of kids just do not train enough in relation to their ambitions. A lot of players want to play at a high level (say College or even professionally) but are simply not putting in enough practice time to have a chance to achieve those goals. Even to just make a representative team or High school team requires a lot of practice time and there are no shortcuts at all!
We have a lot of players who come to our camps and because of the positive environment, they fall more in love with the game with a hunger to get better. At the end of the day, we want players to leave our camp with an appetite for more!
The choice every player has to make over the summer is whether to train or take it easy? The easy choice is obviously to relax and get back into it at the start of Term 1. However, and old basketal saying is:
Players are made over summer!”
It is the off-season where progress is made not during the season! Good players work the hardest over the summer when others are taking it easy. So if you want your child to get better over this important time of the year, just click below to find everything you need to know about the holiday camp.

What you can expect
Our camps focus on helping players become more confident on the court. We achieve that by giving them lots of repetitions in shooting and lay-ups, as well as exposing them to game like situations where they can apply what they have learned.
Our camps are competitive and we expect a high level of focus and energy from everyone at all times. Our camp is NOT a baby sitting service! Between myself and Coach Alby we have over 35 years Head Coaching experience between us. You willl be hard pressed to find more experience coaches!
We also keep the coach to player ratio to a maximum of 10 to 1, which means every player will receive solid invidiual attetion.
On top of that we teach the game using the latest and most cutting edge fundamentals.
Like I said at the beginning holiday basketball camps are a fantastic way to improve confidence and skill level in a short period of time. Maybe you give your child an early Christmas present and let them attend one of our camps? We would love to help them!
